How route optimization works

Do I need to format the Excel file in a specific way?
No. You upload your working file as-is: the AI recognizes addresses and businesses, retrieves historical data from previous deliveries, and flags only the information that's genuinely missing. It's the lowest adoption barrier on the market.
Does OptivoRoute handle LEZ/ZTL, time windows and vehicle capacity?
Yes. The engine optimizes considering time windows (including multiple), vehicle capacity and type, multiple warehouses, priorities, owner-operators and restrictions such as low-emission zones — all at once. Constraints are customizable per industry.
How long does it take to plan a route?
A single calculation takes from a few seconds to about 3 minutes. The whole process — import, optimization, any recalculations to the best solution — takes 5 to 30 minutes, versus half a day or more with manual planning.
Does OptivoRoute account for tachograph driving times?
Yes. For fleets subject to the EU Mobility Package, the optimization can respect the driving and rest limits of Reg. 561/2006 when building routes, so planning is compliant by design.
Can I use optimization without fleet tracking?
Yes, OptivoRoute and OptivoTrack are independent. You can use route optimization only, tracking only, or both together. The driver app can already provide basic tracking with no devices.
Does it generate transport documents?
Yes. OptivoRoute automatically produces waybills, delivery notes and transport documents compliant with the European eFTI standard, ready to print or export.
